In 2023, Diane was fairly unknown to the wider public. THEN she applied for one of the most popular reality television shows in recent British history - for a laugh! She had no designs on actually making it onto the programme. She simply wanted to screenshot her application and send it to her children. (As the result of a ‘challenge’ they had posed.

“You would have no chance, Mum” - to name but a few of their comments!) Part way through an interview with the execs at Studio Lambert... it dawned on her that it may have gone beyond just having a laugh! At which point, she dragged Ross in too, encouraging him to keep it entirely secret from the rest of the family.

Somehow... amongst 140,000 other applicants, the iconic duo team, Diane(a)Ross - aka The Supremes - made it onto the show! The public fell in love with Diane and the reaction went beyond anything expected, even by the producers.
